Punta Cometa- A state protected wilderness, and the most southern point in Oaxaca, Punta Cometa is made up of three ridges that extend into the Pacific Ocean. Punta Cometa has a history as a sacred site. In Mesoamerica it was used as a ceremonial center. And rumor says the Aztecs buried treasure here. Breathtaking views, hidden beaches and tide pools.  All only a 20 minute walk from El Triángulo.   

Surf lessons- There are great waves for beginners year round in San Agustinillo, a 5 min drive or 20 minute walk away.  For advanced surfers, May thru October are the best months.  There are several beach breaks nearby (Zipolite, Mermejita, San Agustinillo, Ventanilla), and a series of epic point breaks run from Barra De La Cruz (1.5 hrs) to Salina Cruz (3 hrs).  

Boat tours- From Rinconcito Beach, boat tours leave daily in the early AM, and last about 2.5 hours.  You’re likely to see large sea turtles, dolphins, manta rays year round, and whales from November to March.  Includes a snorkel dip at the end.  Advance booking is required.  

Mexican Turtle Center- Opened in response to the dwindling turtle population in Mexico, the  Mexican Turtle Center (Centro Mexicano de la Tortuga) is a 10-acre (4-hectare) attraction a 15 minute walk from El Triángulo. Here, you’ll find a variety of sea and freshwater turtles across over a dozen aquariums, including hawksbills, leatherbacks, and green turtles, all of which you can learn about on a guided tour of the center.

Laguna Ventanilla- Beautiful and wild lagoon near the ocean, in the indigenous village of Ventanilla.  You can see crocodiles, turtles, exotic birds, monkeys, and rescued wild animals in the middle of the tropical jungle. You will be taken by a guide in a paddle boat.  10 minute drive from El Triángulo.  

Sea Turtle Release- Work with local conservation groups by releasing baby sea turtles into the sea.  Generally in the afternoons on Playa Mazunte.  

wellness services- We offer on-site a range of bodywork sessions; massage, reiki, acupuncture, as well as singing classes, salsa classes, traditional cacao ceremony, and more! 

excursions- We can organize trips further afield (1-2 hr driving) which include epic waterfalls, magical hot springs, horse back riding, botanical gardens, and mountain hikes.
